LAPAROSCOPIC SURGERIES

HYSTEROSCOPY
Hysteroscopy is a procedure that allows your doctor to look inside your uterus in order to diagnose and treat causes of abnormal bleeding. Hysteroscopy is done using a hysteroscope, a thin, lighted tube that is inserted into the vagina to examine the cervix and inside of the uterus. An operative hysteroscopy can be used to remove polyps, fibroids and adhesions.
DIAGNOSTIC HYSTEROSCOPY
Diagnostic hysteroscopy is used to diagnose problems of the uterus. Diagnostic hysteroscopy is also used to confirm results of other tests, such as hysterosalpingography (HSG). HSG is an X-ray dye test used to check the uterus and fallopian tubes. Diagnostic hyste3oscopy can often be done in an office setting.
OPERATIVE HYSTEROSCOPY
An operative hysteroscopy is a procedure to find and treat problems with your uterus. It may be done to remove growths from the uterus. It may also be used to treat fertility problems or abnormal bleeding. Before the procedure, you will get medicine to make you sleep or feel relaxed. You will not feel pain. The doctor will guide a lighted tube (called a hysteroscope) through the cervix into the uterus. The doctor will fill your uterus with liquid. The liquid will make it easier to see the inside of your uterus with the scope. The doctor will guide surgical tools through the scope to do the procedure.
ENDOSCOPY
Endoscopy is the process of inserting a small camera into the body to observe an organ or tissue. It can be inserted into the mouth or the anus (colonoscopy). The endoscope can be used to do minor procedures like stop bleeding, remove objects that are stuck and diagnose medical conditions like ulcers.
COLONOSCOPY
Colonoscopy is the process of inserting a camera into the anus to visualize the rectum and the large intestines. It is an extremely useful tool in screening colon cancer. It can be used to remove polyps and stop bleeding. It is recommended that people with a family history of colon cancer or people with rectal bleeding or anyone over the age of 40 years contact our center to find out about colon cancer screening.
